Whether your windshield repair or replacement is covered depends on the type of warranty or vehicle service contract you have. Here’s what you should know:
- Manufacturer Warranty.Factory warranties usually cover defects in workmanship or materials—but not damage from road debris, accidents, or weather. So if your glass damage wasn’t due to a defect, this type of warranty probably won’t apply.
- Extended Warranty / Vehicle Service Contract. Many extended warranties offer additional protection, and some include windshield repair—especially if the damage impacts safety systems like ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Road Hazard Protection Plans. These specialty plans often cover windshield cracks, chips, and other auto glass damage caused by flying debris, potholes, and road conditions.
If you’re unsure about your warranty coverage, don’t worry—we can help figure it out.
